The president of the Vietnam Labor Export Association, Doan Mau Diep, explained that the Law on Contract Workers in Other Countries strictly prohibits exporting labor or sending people to work abroad in areas where there is war or risk of war.
According to the CEO, the current recruitment of workers supposedly to labor in Israel is contrary to regulations, as companies must first assess and verify safety and then obtain a labor supply contract before being allowed to hire.
Mau Diep told the Hanoi Moi newspaper that the demand for personnel to work in Israel is quite high, and labor exporting entities are interested in that market and have proposed to the association that they be allowed to send workers there.
Since the beginning of 2025, the Department of Overseas Labor Management of the Ministry of the Interior “has repeatedly warned and notified the media that units publishing recruitment notices for work in Israel do not comply with the regulations.”
The newspaper remembered that at the end of May, Israeli Labor Minister Yoav Ben Tzur visited Vietnam and, during a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, clearly expressed his desire to recruit skilled workers in Vietnam.
However, although the two countries have not yet made any official decision on this matter, many social media platforms have taken advantage of the information and published ambiguous articles that have caused misunderstandings about Vietnam allowing companies to recruit workers to work there, the newspaper noted.
