In this regard, the head of state noted that Ukraine carries out attacks against civilian infrastructure in Russia “and at the same time asks to suspend military actions for 30 or even 60 days, requesting a meeting at the highest level.”
“But how can such meetings be held under these conditions? What can we talk about?” the Russian leader questioned. “Who is going to negotiate with those who advocate terrorism, with terrorists? And why should they be encouraged by granting them a truce in military actions?” Putin said.
These Ukrainian attacks against peaceful targets in Russia confirm that the illegitimate authorities in Kyiv are turning into a terrorist organization, and at the same time their sponsors are becoming accomplices of terrorists, Putin stated.
Putin added that Ukraine attempted to sabotage the delegations’ meeting with attacks against Russian civilian targets on the eve of the second round of peace negotiations in Istanbul. “The attack against the civilian population was deliberate,” the head of state stressed.
The Russian leader reiterated that any truce will be used by Ukraine to supply arms, forcibly mobilize, and prepare terrorist attacks on Russian territory. That is why they cannot be given a respite from hostilities.
Putin asserted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering defeat after defeat, and in the Kursk region they were inflected huge and completely unnecessary losses, and that is why they are trying to intimidate Russia with attacks because they are suffering losses on the front lines.
