“We consider NATO’s military activity to be part of the preparations for a military confrontation with Russia. If we look at the orientation, the design, the force structure, their quality, and the tasks formulated for these exercises, it is a fight against an enemy like Russia,” the diplomat noted.
The NATO Baltops 2025 naval exercises began on June 3. The exercises have been held in the Baltic Sea annually since 1972.
On May 27th, the Russian Navy’s Baltic Fleet reported that it had begun base defense exercises involving part of the Northern Fleet’s forces, supported by aviation and the Moscow and Leningrad military districts.
