“Deployment of a satellite network to control 102 + 1 spacecraft,” reads the slide Bakanov displayed during the presentation of the national space exploration project at the conference titled Digital Industry of Industrial Russia, which has been taking place in Nizhny Novgorod since June 2.
The national space project also includes the launch of 886 Rassvet broadband internet satellites and 114 ground remote sensing devices, the Roscosmos director general stated.
“Among the key events to be held in the context of the national project implementation, the Communications and Earth Observation section plans to create a low-orbit group through the launch of 886 spacecraft,” Bakanov’s presentation highlighted.
