The Indian Ministry of Defense announced in a statement that the maneuvers focused on conducting unconventional operations in semi-urban and mountainous terrain, under a United Nations mandate.
The joint military exercise, which began on the 31st of last month and will conclude on the 13th of this month, aims to enhance the operational capabilities of both militaries, the ministry explained.
The military entity added that participating contingents are actively exchanging best practices in counterterrorism and precision sniper operations, thus improving interoperability.
Both forces are working to strengthen their ability to respond effectively to current security challenges.
The Ministry further stated that the joint drill shows the growing defense cooperation between India and Mongolia.
The exercise also places special emphasis on fostering cultural understanding and camaraderie among participating troops, the statement added.
