The military institution announced on its official Telegram channel that the Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down over the Bryansk, Belgorod, Kaluga, Tula, Oryol, Kursk, and Moscow territories, as well as on the Crimea peninsula.
The Russian air transport agency, Rosaviatsia, previously reported that temporary restrictions have been imposed at four Moscow airports (Vnukovo, Zhukovsky, Domodedovo, and Sheremetyevo) and the Kaluga airport.
Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, in turn, announced that an estimated nine aircraft-type drones heading for the country’s capital were shot down this Sunday. He also wrote on his Telegram channel that emergency services are working at the site where the wreckage fell.
Meanwhile, Tula Governor Dmitry Milyaev also informed that a drone attack injured two people and broke out a fire at the Novomoskovski Azot chemical plant, which was extinguished.
The Russian provinces bordering Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and the Peninsula of Crimea, regularly report shelling, drone strikes, and other attacks from across the border, forcing the population to seek shelter elsewhere.
