According to the Ministry’s report, Russian units inflicted successive defeats on Ukrainian forces in several settlements in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and the 90th Armored Division reached the western border of the province and continues its offensive.

During the operation, elements of four mechanized brigades, two airborne assault brigades, one unmanned systems brigade, two marine infantry brigades, and three National Guard brigades, all belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were defeated, the statement said.

The report also states that operations were carried out in the areas of the settlements of Dimitrov, Krasnoarmeysk, Petrovskoye, Novotoretskoye, Novopavlovka, Novonikolayevka, Alekseyevka, Novoukrainka, and Novosergeevka, all in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

The report notes that the Russian military maintains the initiative in this direction of the front, and that Ukrainian authorities activated an air raid alert in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where explosions were reported in the suburbs of the provincial capital and in the city itself.

The head of the regional military administration, Sergei Lysak, previously announced the decision to carry out the forced evacuation of 14 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk.
