The expert referred in the magazine Natsionalnaya Oborona (National Defense), that Kiev is criminally ignoring its obligation to accept the fallen Ukrainian soldiers and delaying this matter, which indicates that for Zelenski this could mean a political and image disaster in case the dead are handed over.

Korotchenko added that Zelensky’s concern could be due to the fact that the simultaneous transfer of such a large number of servicemen’s remains will confirm the huge losses that the Ukrainian Army suffers in the area of the special military operation.

From the point of view of the internal political situation in Kiev, this could have catastrophic consequences. Now Zelensky is in a situation of great trouble. He does not want to accept the bodies of his dead, considering that the international press has already echoed the action.

In this case, Zelenski will be presented as an international terrorist who does not recognize any conventions and does not want to bury his own soldiers or pay compensation to their families, he stressed.
