US drones launch two attacks in northwestern Syria

Damascus, June 10 (Prensa Latina) At least two people were killed in two attacks carried out by drones from the US-led International Coalition in the northern Syrian province of Idlib.

The Syrian Civil Defense reported that an unmanned aerial vehicle launched a missile at a motorcycle on the road between Sarmada and Bardaqali, on the outskirts of the town of Al-Dana, north of Idlib, killing one person and seriously injuring another.

Two hours later, a drone bombed a car on the road between the towns of Qah and Atma, in the same Idlib governorate, near the border with Turkey.

Civil Defense teams confirmed the death of one person and wounding other four ones. Activists released photos from the area, showing severe damage to the targeted vehicle, although no information has been released regarding the identities of the victims.

On February 22, Wassim Berakdar of the al-Qaeda-affiliated Hurras al-Din terrorist organization was killed in a similar attack attributed to the US-led international coalition in Idlib.

On February 16, a similar airstrike killed two Libyan leaders.

The US Central Command confirmed the two bombings and clarified that its operations in Idlib are part of ongoing efforts to disrupt and degrade terrorists’ efforts to plan, organize, and carry out attacks against civilians and military personnel of the United States and its allies in the region.
