They addressed the challenges facing the Arab country, including the Kurdish-led militia Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and Israel’s constant violations of Syrian territory.
Al-Shaibani expressed his gratitude to France for its role in lifting sanctions and exploring business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Syria’s interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa paid a visit to Paris in early May on an invitation by French President Emmanuel Macron.
This was Al-Sharaa’s first visit to Europe since the overthrow of President Bashar Al-Assad’s government in December 2024.
