During his stay in Hanoi, Lacroix will participate in a high-level forum on women in peacekeeping, organized by the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, and will meet with key leaders who work in demining, according to a UN representative’s release.

He will also visit the Vietnam Peace Operations Training Institute, where future forces are prepared for their deployment in the missions to which they are assigned.

The source added that Lacroix and Vietnamese authorities will discuss this nation’s important contributions to UN Peace Operations, as well as the implementation of the National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security (NAP on WPS) in Vietnam.
