The military institution announced on its official Telegram channel that 70 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down over the Peninsula of Crimea, 15 over the Oryol region, 22 over the Kursk and Saratov territories, nine over Belgorod, seven over the Black Sea, and two over Bryansk and Voronezh.
The Defense Minister reported that Friday’s attack was the most intense strike on the Republic of Crimea this year, although no casualties or significant material losses were reported.
The Russian air transport agency, Rosaviatsia, announced that temporary restrictions have been imposed on the reception and departure of aircraft at Tambov and Saratov airports to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights.
Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the Russian provinces bordering that nation, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and the Peninsula of Crimea, regularly report shelling, drone strikes, and other attacks from across the border.
