Among the winners at the ceremony were Indira Cato’s Olimpia, with the Mezcal for Best Mexican Film; Victoria Franco, winner of Best Director for Doce Lunas; and Sergio Armstrong, winner of Best Cinematography for Doce Lunas. In the Ibero-American Fiction Feature Film category, the winner was O último azul, by Brazilian Gabriel Mascaro; the award for Best First Film in this category went to the Spanish film Molt lluny, by Gerard Oms, and Best Director, to Eva Libertad, for her film Sorda.
The award for Best Screenplay went to Brazilian Anna Muylaert for The Best Mother in the World, a film that also received awards for cinematography (Lilis Soares) and acting (Shirley Cruz).
In the short film section, the winner was Las voces del despeñadero, directed by Irving Serrano and Víctor Rejón, while the award for Best Genre Film went to the Mexican-Peruvian co-production Los inocentes, by Germán Tejada.
