Chairing a meeting of the National Security Council to address the Israeli escalation and its regional repercussions, the Monarch said that such aggression will have negative repercussions and increase tension and instability.
He reiterated Jordan’s firm stance not to become a battleground in any conflict.
Diplomacy, negotiations and respect for international law are what achieve regional security and stability, the King considered.
He revealed that Amman continues its contacts and coordinations regionally and internationally to achieve general calm.
Abdullah II ordered the Ministry of Defense to maintain maximum readiness and coordination among all state agencies to deal with the current developments, including taking measures to ensure the security, stability and protection of the Kingdom’s citizens.
He urged citizens to comply with the security instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
Jordan’s General Security Department had announced that three people were injured as a result of falling pieces of allegedly Israeli and Iranian missiles.
