The note of the military portfolio refers that this Sunday, in the context of the Istanbul agreements, Moscow delivered to Kiev the fourth group of bodies of Ukrainian soldiers killed in the area of the Special Military Operation.

The military body recalled that, as on Saturday and Friday, the number of bodies handed over was 1,200. However, as on those two previous occasions, the Ukrainian side did not hand over any bodies of fallen soldiers to Russia on Sunday.

Russia and Ukraine started on Wednesday the exchange of bodies of fallen soldiers, with Moscow handing over to Kiev 1,212 remains of Ukrainian servicemen and receiving those of 27 Russian soldiers, which was carried out taking into account the agreements reached during the second round of direct negotiations between the two countries held on June 2.

At the end of the second round of the Russian-Ukrainian dialogues held in the Turkish city of Istanbul, Moscow announced that it would hand over to Kiev the bodies of six thousand deceased Ukrainian servicemen.
