The Foreign Ministry also informed that Indian students in Tehran were moved out of the Iranian capital for security reasons and advised other residents with their own means of transportation to move out of the city given the evolving situation.
He noted that some Indians have been facilitated to leave Iran through the Armenian border and that his embassy remains in continuous contact with the community to provide all possible assistance.
It is possible that further alerts may be issued given the instability of the situation, the diplomatic source said.
Fatima Khakhi, a third-year medical student at Tehran’s Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences, explained to the press that security feels precarious and anxiety is constant.
“We live in fear, sleepless nights and growing anxiety.” she said.
