The data, which covers the period from May 24 to June 14, brings the cumulative total of infections since January 1 to 476,584.
Of the new cases, 72,166 required hospitalization, while 3,995 were treated on an outpatient basis.
The number of deaths brings the total to 154 so far this year.
Bangkok concentrates the highest number of cases with 17,945, followed by Chon Buri (3,315), Nakhon Ratchasima (3,277), Chiang Mai (2,678) and Rayong (1,775).
The Ministry of Public Health reiterated the call on the population to use masks in crowded places, maintain hand hygiene and booster vaccines, especially for high-risk groups.
Dr. Thira Woratanarat, from the Faculty of Medicine of Chulalongkorn University, warned in a statement that in the last four weeks Covid-19 caused 116 deaths, a figure 29 times higher than that of seasonal influenza.
The increased mortality intensified calls for greater public awareness and precautions as Thailand continues to navigate the endemic phase of Covid-19 with fluctuations in the number of cases.
