The meeting took place at Havana’s Palace of the Revolution, where they spoke for nearly two hours about the country’s current situation and the impact of the US blockade on the economy, the electricity network, healthcare, and education, according to the media outlet Cubadebate.

“We also talked about our close friendship with Brazil and even about soccer,” the president said on the social network X.

Cuba’s relations with China and Russia, as well as its participation in the BRICS group were also assessed.
