The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), committed a grave violation of the Charter of that organization, international law, and the Treaty of Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), the minister denounced on his X account.

Araghchi underscored that every member of the UN should be alarmed by this extremely dangerous and criminal behavior.

The foreign minister recalled that the United Nations Charter and its provisions “allow for a legitimate response in self-defense.”

He warned that Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people.
