Cubans residing in Panama reject US aggression in the Middle East

Panama City, June 23 (Prensa Latina) The Marti Association of Cubans Residing in Panama condemned the US military aggression and its interference in the conflict between Israel and Iran.

The group, led by Humberto Perez, issued a statement supporting the position of the Network of Cubans Residing in Latin America and the Caribbean: This “interference alarmingly aggravates the already critical situation in the Middle East, constituting a dangerous escalation that threatens global peace and international stability.”

The document, which firmly denounces the escalation of war boosted by the United States, which is turning the world into a hostage to its geopolitical interests, adds that the attacks against Iran entail trampling on the sovereignty of peoples and international law, ignoring the UN Charter and Security Council resolutions.

They also pointed out the hypocrisy of a government that talks about peace while injecting death with bombs and missiles.

In this regard, the Marti Association of Cubans Residing in Panama demanded the immediate withdrawal of US military forces from the region, international sanctions against those responsible for this illegal aggression, and the urgent opening of multilateral negotiations mediated by the UN and other international organizations.

The organization reaffirmed its solidarity with the civilian victims in Palestine, Israel, Iran, and the entire region, subjected to decades of violence by foreign powers, and expressed its absolute support for the Non-Aligned Movement and its historic call against interventionism.

“Panama, the land that welcomes us, knows well the price of foreign interference: Never again! No more imperial wars! The peoples of the world demand peace with justice,” the statement from the Marti Association of Cubans Residing in Panama emphasized.
