Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Amir-Saeid Iravani, warned, “The timing, nature, and scale of Iran’s proportionate response will be decided by its armed forces.”
“Once again, the internationally wanted war criminal (referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) has succeeded in hijacking US foreign policy, dragging the United States into another costly and groundless war,” he said during a Security Council meeting on the issue.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry affirmed in a statement that Iran reserves the right to resist the Pentagon’s attack with all its might and defend its national security.
We denounce the savage military attack on the peaceful nuclear plants in Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz, which represents a flagrant and unprecedented violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law, the Ministry underscored.
