Tourism Minister Pablo Menoni said the goal is to create advertising campaigns targeted to the desired tourist profile, without wasting financial resources or targeting the wrong audiences.
“We seek to make efficient use of economic resources through artificial intelligence based on specific data on the ages, nationalities, and preferences of potential visitors.
“If we talk about social media, impacting a specific segment of the population with certain tastes and preferences is not the same as impacting others,” he emphasized.
In addition to personalized digital advertising, the government seeks to strengthen air connectivity, both within Uruguay and with countries in the region. Menoni indicated that they are working with special interest to improve ties with “Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic” and sees “enormous growth potential” in those markets.
