The news agency stated that the meeting between Erdogan and Trump took place at the Royal Palace in The Hague, following a banquet hosted by King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and his wife in honor of the participants in the Leaders’ Summit of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).

A Turkish Presidential Press Department statement explained that the two presidents addressed several issues related to bilateral relations and regional and international affairs.

Erdogan highlighted the great potential that both countries possess in many areas, especially energy and investment.

He told Trump that advancing cooperation in the defense industry would facilitate achieving a 100 billion dollar trade volume between both countries.

The Turkish president emphasized to his US counterpart the importance of dialogue to end the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza as soon as possible and find a peaceful solution to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
