Trade visitor Suarez, the owner of the “Emmanuel Welding Workshops” business told Prensa Latina that he sees ExpoCaribe as the best space to showcase his work, knock on doors, and interact with other state and private entrepreneurs, as well as foreigners who might be interested in investing or contracting his services.
Trained as a welder, later earning a degree in Structural Construction Technician and with work experience at a Power Plant Maintenance Company, Suarez affirms that the construction system of the future is that of metal structures.
Suarez admitted that he was inclined to start his own business in the field of blacksmithing, or the manufacture of security gates, because it is on the rise, considering that people are increasingly acquiring more valuable items for their homes and needing increased security, which opens up a secure market for his business.
The entrepreneur added that he also ventures into the field of colonial gates and demarcation fences, in which the artistic component plays a greater role. In all cases, his work responds to the interests and designs proposed by his clients.
Suarez explained that the materials used for his products are recycled from structures that have already fulfilled their design functions, but still retain the strength and durability to meet clients’ needs, both individuals and businesses.
When asked about the future, Yunior Suarez did not hesitate when saying: “Although we’re not developing construction today due to economic reasons, housing construction and maintenance will continue in Cuba, and new bridges will be built. We have no choice but to develop, and that’s the future of my business.”
