According to the president of the Organizing Committee, Lazaro Darien Casabella, the event will take place at its main venue, the Plaza America Convention Center, in the Varadero resort of Matanzas, under the theme “Flavors Without Borders.
The Magic of Fusion Cuisine with a Cuban Soul,” reported the Cuban News Agency.
This meeting will also contribute to the exchange of experiences and knowledge among entrepreneurs and professionals, and will foster alliances between tourism suppliers and exhibitors based on the quality and sustainability of their offerings, highlighted Casabella, general director of Empresa Extrahotelera Palmares S.A.
Among the new features of the meeting, Casabella highlighted the holding of the 1st International Franchise Workshop (September 12), under the theme Culture, History, and Identity: Competitive Advantage of Cuban Tourism Franchises.
Organized by the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, the event includes activities outside the fairgrounds.
Its academic program includes presentations on: Fusion Cuisine between Cuba and Latin America; Cocktails 4.0: Creativity and Technology in the Drinking Experience; Creativity and Avant-garde in Cuban Gastronomy; and Gastronomic Regions and the Gastronomic Route of Cuba.
