Malaysia: King insists on solid preparedness of Armed Forces

Kuala Lumpur, June 28 (Prensa Latina) The King of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, considered international laws unsatisfactory to safeguard world peace and urged his country's armed forces to always be prepared.

In the sovereign’s opinion, the war between Iran and Israel and the prolonged conflict in Gaza clearly show his assertion amid an increasingly uncertain and challenging global political background.

The king participated in the commissioning parade for Malaysian Armed Forces officer cadets and insisted on keeping them equipped with the latest defense technology to face any eventuality, but at the same time expressed concern about the culture of social media use among military personnel.

During his address to the new officer cadets, he reminded them not to share everything online, particularly information related to troop deployments, unit locations, and other sensitive details.

He noted that the current conflict between Iran and Israel shows how easily both sides have exploited information obtained through technology companies, smart apps, and social media to launch attacks.

Use your good judgment and refrain from disclosing unnecessary information to the public. It is better to be cautious now than to regret it later, the King stressed, and demanded to the military’s senior leadership to always act with integrity and avoid corrupt practices and abuse of their positions for personal gain, something he assured would never allow.

Sultan Ibrahim congratulated the 509 cadets who completed their training on this date and reminded them that a career in the military demands great sacrifices, personal strength, honesty, and unwavering loyalty to the King and the country.
