Arce stated on his X account that “the Wiphala is the expression of our philosophy of Living Well, which proposes a relationship of respect, balance, and reciprocity between human beings and Mother Earth.”
The president thanked “the sister nations that joined us with their vote and commitment. This victory is not only Bolivia’s, but of all the peoples who fight for a more just, diverse, and harmonious world.”
The text recognizes the Wiphala as a symbol that reflects the multicolored harmony of nature, born from the worldview of diverse indigenous peoples and social groups.
It adds that it encapsulates values deeply linked to life, justice, peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence among all living beings.
The document invites to promote respect and appreciation for all cultures and highlights the Wiphala as a living manifestation of identity, unity, and ancestral wisdom.
With this approval, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs maintains, Bolivia reaffirms its commitment to people’s diplomacy, intercultural dialogue, and the multilateral promotion of the values of Living Well as an ethical, cultural, and civilizational alternative to contemporary global challenges.
