Cuba conveys its condolences to the Iranian Embassy in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, July 1 (Prensa Latina) The chargé d'affaires of the Cuban Embassy in Ethiopia, Natalys Dinza, signed the book of condolences opened at the Iranian diplomatic headquarters for the victims of the Israeli attack, a statement revealed.

On behalf of the Cuban people and government, Dinza conveyed the deepest condolences and strong solidarity with Tehran for the loss of human lives during the Zionist regime’s attacks on Iranian military, nuclear, and civilian facilities, the statement from the Caribbean Embassy stated.

She also reaffirmed Havana’s strong condemnation of the acts of violence that represent a dangerous escalation of the conflict in the Middle East and a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and international law.

Cuba firmly rejects any attempt to undermine peace and stability in the region and maintains its stance in defense of sovereignty, justice, and the dignity of the peoples, the statement concluded.

On June 13, Israel launched a 13-day aggression against Iran, attacking military, nuclear, and civilian facilities, killing military leaders and scientists.

Tehran responded by bombing military and intelligence headquarters in Tel Aviv with ballistic missiles and drones.

On June 22, the United States attacked Iranian nuclear facilities and claimed to have destroyed the Persian nuclear program.

Iran responded by bombing the US Al-Udeid base in Qatar.

Washington then declared a ceasefire between Tel Aviv and Tehran on June 24.
