The leak occurred on June 25 and includes names, ballots, cell phone numbers and data on vaccination against Covid-19 of 1.6 million Uruguayans, according to Birmingham Cyber Arms.
In March 2025, Tacuara released a batch of data from the National Migration Board, with 14,877 visa application forms.
In April 2025, Tacuara published 37,756 files from the Ministry of Social Development, with detailed information on beneficiaries and their family nucleus.
The files included identity card, date of birth, addresses, telephone numbers, mail and data on housing status. Last month the group released a database with 350,800 records belonging to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
The criminal group uses virtual forums to sell or display samples of stolen data, reported El Observador.
