Russia and DPRK determined to strengthen cultural ties

Pyongyang, 1 Jul (Latin Press) Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova reiterated her country’s willingness to strengthen ties with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in this area, the state news agency ACNC reported today.

As part of the program celebrating the first anniversary of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two nations, Lyubimova and her delegation visited the Juche Musical Art Development Pavilion.

There they learned about the history of this cultural expression, which flourishes under the wise leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea (PTC), the media indicated.

The delegation also visited the Permanent State Exhibition of Gifts and the exhibition of fine arts works at the Mansudae House of Creation.

Last weekend Lyubimova was received by PTC general secretary Kim Jong Un, who through him sent a fraternal greeting to President Vladimir Putin and reiterated the DPRK’s willingness to fully comply with the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty.

The chairman of the Committee on State Affairs also expressed the wish to intensify exchanges in the cultural field for their impact on strengthening friendship, understanding and sympathy between the two peoples.

During her stay here, Lyubimova signed a cultural cooperation agreement with her Korean counterpart, Sung Jong Gyu, for the period 2025-2027.
