Under the motto “A Home for Children,” the cultural institution opens its doors to young people interested in learning about the Latin American and Caribbean history and art housed in its galleries.
Every Wednesday morning, visitors of all ages can enjoy art exhibitions and reach at its libraries and bookstore.
Starting today and continuing through August 13, guided tours led by specialists from the institution’s Fine Arts Department will provide an opportunity to learn about the history of Casa de las Americas, founded in 1959.
They will also offer opportunities to explore its Haydee Santamaria Art of Our America collection.
The large gray tower, located a few meters from Havana’s Malecon seaside, not only serves as a stage for discussion between Cuban and foreign artists and intellectuals, but also as a venue for the delight of new generations in the most varied artistic expressions.
This year, the route has already been set, and for children in Cuba, summer is coming to Casa de las Americas.
