Through a Presidential Memorandum, the Trump administration is imposing, for the umpteenth time, cruel, inhumane, and arbitrary sanctions and measures against the Cuban people and government, the Association denounced in a statement at the reach of Prensa Latina on Wednesday.
The text stated, “The empire, in its decline, intends to defeat the dignity of a people that have gained independence forever since 1959, and in defense of their sovereignty, resist a brutal economic, financial, and commercial blockade that threatens the entire Cuban identity.”
The solidarity organization asserted that Cuba will never be defeated by force, because its complete freedom is priceless. It demanded the US president to cease the unjust and criminal measures against the Caribbean nation.
It urged all peoples of the world to support the Cuban Revolution and reject Washington’s hostility toward Havana.
Trump signed a memorandum that intensifies the White House’s hardline policy against Cuba and reverses measures implemented by his predecessor, Joe Biden. The US magnate expresses in the document his opposition to the multiple requests from the United Nations and other international forums that call for lifting the prolonged economic siege against the Caribbean nation.
