During the summit, to be held in the city of Khankendi under the theme ECO’s New Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future, the Pakistani Head of Government will share his country’s perspective on major regional and global challenges, noted diplomatic sources.
Sharif will also reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to ECO Vision 2025 and advocate for greater intra-regional trade cooperation, transport connectivity, energy cooperation and sustainable development, the Foreign Ministry added.
He will also hold bilateral meetings with other dignitaries participating in the Baku Summit to discuss matters of mutual interest, the ministry noted.
The Economic Cooperation Organization promotes talks on development, trade promotion and research opportunities among its members Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkiye, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
According to ECO, the forthcoming Summit will bring together heads of State and Government, ministers, observers, special guests from countries outside the organization and heads of international agencies, working for development and prosperity through economic integration.
