Prime Minister Manuel Marrero emphasized on Thursday that the meeting will assess vital economic and social issues that directly impact the population, in the context of the strengthening of the United States’ blockade against Cuba.
The head of Government asserted on his X profile that the unity of the Cuban people and the collective search for solutions continue to chart the nation’s path.
According to information recently released by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President Miguel Diaz-Canel, the 10th Plenary Session will analyze the Government Program to correct distortions and revitalize the economy, as well as the plan for stabilizing the National Power Grid (SEN).
The Cuban head of State informed that in the meeting the 9th Congress of the PCC will be convened.
Granma newspaper reported that the meeting will also assess the party’s cadre policy strategy, approved at the 8th Congress, held in April 2021, and the proposed commemoration program for the 100th birthday of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz (1926-2026).
The 1st Congress of the PCC was held in this capital in 1975, ten years after the PCC was founded.
