On behalf of the heads of mission, diplomat Eugenio Martinez expressed his commitment to the homeland, the Cuban Communist Party, the state, and the people.
He emphasized that Cuban diplomacy “is not afraid to tell the truth or denounce injustice, and does not accept pressure of any kind.”
“We will walk throughout the world with our heads held high,” the diplomat asserted, adding that “Cuba is the resistance; because the Cuban people are noble, they do not surrender, and they do not deserve the aggression they are subjected to due to the anti-Cuban obsession from the United States.”
According to the Presidency of the Republic, after the signing of the oath, the Cuban president awarded an order and four medals to officials with recognized careers and outstanding work in domestic and foreign services.
During the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Josefina Vidal said that by being sworn in for this position, the new ambassadors assume the great responsibility and supreme commitment to represent the Revolution and the people.
She reaffirmed the responsibility of revolutionary diplomats to defend sovereignty and peace in every context, “raise the banners of anti-imperialism and internationalism, promote solidarity and cooperation, and fight tirelessly for a just world order.”
