India and Bolivia leaders discuss bilateral cooperation

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, July 7 (Latin Press) In the framework of the BRICS summit India´s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and Bolivian President, Luis Arce, reviewed today the bilateral cooperation and expressed their satisfaction for the progress achieved.

Both dignitaries addressed the meeting on cooperation in critical minerals, trade, Digital Public Infrastructure, applications such as the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), health and pharmaceuticals, confirmed diplomatic sources.

The two dignitaries also discussed collaboration in traditional medicine, small and medium-sized industries, training and other sectors.

Modi and Arce recognized the potential to strengthen linkages in the critical minerals sector and develop sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships in this field.

Expressed their satisfaction with the continued development cooperation between both countries, including quick impact projects and initiatives under the ITEC fellowship programmes.

The Prime Minister expressed his solidarity with the Bolivian people following the severe floods that occurred between March and April 2025 in La Paz and other areas of the South American country.

He also congratulated Bolivia on its accession to the International Solar Alliance and conveyed his warm greetings to the Bolivian people and Government on the occasion of the celebration of the bicentenary of the country’s independence, which is commemorated on August 6.
