Lavrov, who held a press briefing, noted that “given the peculiarities of the current situation in Syria, we thank our Syrian colleagues for the measures they are taking to guarantee the security of Russian citizens and facilities.”
He also said that Moscow is interested in intensifying inter-ministerial talks. “And today we have targetted the work of our embassies: ours in Damascus and the Syrian Embassy in Moscow,” the Russian foreign minister added.
Lavrov noted that Russia is willing to cooperate with Damascus in Syria’s post-conflict reconstruction.
