As every year, the Olof Palme Convention Center in Managua hosts the event, which will bring together cultures from 42 countries.
Nicaraguan Co-President Rosario Murillo expressed thru the local media that over two days there will be exhibitions of crafts, dances, traditional costumes, cocktail and gastronomy preparations, tastings, catwalks, concerts, as well as performances by local artists and dance schools.
According to the event’s organizers, representatives from Abkhazia, China, Bolivia, Russia, Angola, Libya, the Dominican Republic, Iran, Korea, Algeria, Colombia, Cuba, El Salvador, France, Italy, Japan, Panama, Venezuela, Turkiye, Costa Rica, Peru, and Mexico are taking part in the event.
Also participating will be Palestine, Honduras, Guatemala, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Nigeria, the United States, Ecuador, Brazil, Scotland, Thailand, Argentina, New Zealand, Jordan, Morocco, Spain, Germany, and the host country.
Felix Sanchez, head of national promotion for the Nicaraguan Tourism Institute, reported that this year they added the option to access the culinary offerings via a QR code, providing a unique and interactive experience for families and visitors.
At the festival, the invited nations showcase the best of their cuisine with typical dishes, while presenting the public with dances, songs, and traditional costumes, among other artistic expressions.
