Thus, Moscow hosted the Znamensky Brothers Memorial, which included representatives from Brazil and Cuba, among others. “However, we are moving forward. We continue to cooperate with our colleagues from international federations,” the senior official emphasized in response to a question from the TASS news agency.
For his part, Yuri Borzakovsky, a member of the Federation’s Executive Committee, emphasized that athletes from other countries create a competitive environment, motivating Russian athletes to achieve better results.
The Russian Athletics Championships are currently underway in Kazan. The competition opened on Thursday, August 7, and will run until Sunday, August 10.
