Cuba: Agreement signed with Paraguayan Documentary Film Association

Havana, Aug 19 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC) and the Paraguayan Documentary Film Association will sign an international agreement, the details of which will be announced in the Hector Garcia Mesa Room at the organization's headquarters.

The Paraguayan National Audiovisual Institute and the Cuban Embassy in Asuncion will be present online at 11:00 a.m. local time. The premiere of the documentary film series “Ruta ADN Cuba,” dedicated to painter Roberto Diago, will follow.

The “Ruta ADN Cuba” audiovisual is a six-part series, guided by Dr. Beatriz Marcheco, director of the National Center for Medical Genetics, and directed by filmmaker Alejandro Gil.

Diago, as a visual artist, will be the focus of this section, but other personalities will be revealed, such as singer-song writer Silvio Rodriguez, athlete Mireya Luis, and (researcher and writer) Nelson Aboy.

The project merges art and science to explore the genetic roots of prominent figures in Cuban culture, sports, and academia.
