“For the sixth time nationwide and in its 8th edition in Havana, several preventive events, including cultural, educational, and social services activities, exchanges, talks by specialists with the at-risk population or patients with addiction, and training for social workers and other factors involved in this context, are being conducted in neighborhoods and communities in all the municipalities,” Granma newspaper reported.
This exercise aims at preparing the forces that make up the system to combat this scourge and the population in general, based on their responsibility in this battle.
Within the context of these monthly events, about 3,300 activities have been held, with the participation of more than 71,800 students, 5,950 workers, and 19,700 families.
