Trade advisor Cerma Jimenez stated that the event, convened by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, will be held from November 24 to 29 at Expocuba fairgrounds in Havana.
To avoid the usual weather conditions in the first half of November, and considering that this event has been held in that month for more than 40 years, the organizing committee decided to keep up the event this month, but moving it to its last week, Jimenez added.
The official emphasized that FIHAV 2025 will be a favorable space for exchanging and updating information on the government’s economic incentive program, as well as for exploring business opportunities in the trade of goods and services, and investment sectors.
She also highlighted that, in 2024, Panama was the fifth country with the highest participation in this important trade platform, which was attended by more than 300 firms, mostly foreign ones, as well as more than 5,000 exhibitors and 1,300 professional visitors.
Jimenez announced that FIHAV 2025 will feature the 8th Investment Forum, other business meetings, product launching, lectures, presentations, and various activities aimed at strengthening cooperation and commercial ties among participants.
The Portfolio of Opportunities with Foreign Capital will also be updated, focusing on priority projects for economic development, and there will be a special space for Cubans living abroad, the purpose of which is to further integrate this community into the national dynamic.
For his part, the Cuban ambassador to Panama, Victor Cairo, announced that there will be a banking forum that will address one of the core issues for business and investment opportunities, but also one of the obstacles his country faces as a result of the cruel blockade imposed by the United States more than six decades ago.
