Cuba congratulates the DPRK on 77th anniversary of its foundation

Havana, Sep 8 (Prensa Latina) The secretary of the Organization of the Cuban Communist Party, Roberto Morales, congratulated today the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on the 77th anniversary of its foundation.

On the occasion of the date, the political leader conveyed his congratulations to the Party of Labor of Korea and its people, “to which we are united by indestructible bonds of friendship forged by Fidel (Castro) and Kim Il Sung.

From the same platform, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez also joined the congratulations and reiterated Cuba’s unchanging solidarity, friendship and cooperation with the Asian nation.

September 9 is one of the most important dates in the country along with Day of the Sun (Kim Il Sung’s birthday), Day of the Star of Light (Kim Jong Il’s birthday) and PTC Foundation Day.

In August 1948, the DPRK elected the Supreme People’s Assembly and a new constitution was promulgated on September 3.

Six days later, the DPRK was proclaimed with Kim Il Sung as prime minister.
