The president was received by Vice President Salvador Valdes, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, and Roberto Morales, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.
Diaz-Canel expressed on X his willingness to continue working to achieve everything agreed upon during the tour “for the well-being of our nations.” “Always count on Cuba,” he emphasized.
The head of State’s visit took place from August 31 to September 7, within the framework of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of historic relations with Vietnam and China, countries with which Cuba maintains close ties of solidarity and cooperation.
In the case of Laos, the priority Cuba places on fraternal and friendly relations with that country was reaffirmed.
