Turkiye rejects any division of Syria

Ankara, Oct 1 (Prensa Latina) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed that his country will reject the destabilization of Syria and violations of its territorial integrity, Anadolu Agency reported. In his speech before the Turkish parliament, the president warned that his country opposes any statement that promotes the fragmentation of Syrian territory and stressed that he prioritizes the defense of the national unity of that Arab nation.

The Turkish leader assured that his government activated all diplomatic channels to achieve these objectives and emphasized that Ankara is acting with patience and common sense in this process.

Erdogan also warned that, if dialogue initiatives do not receive a response, Türkiye is prepared to act.

“His nation’s position in the face of a potential crisis is already known,” he expressed.

International analysts agree that these statements reflect the growing tension in the region and point out that the situation requires a political solution to prevent the escalation of a new conflict.
