Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK and Chairman of the State Affairs Department of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), attended the ceremony and reviewed the honor guard and representatives of the ground, naval, and air forces of the Korean People’s Army (KPA).

The president stated that the exhibition reflects the recent fruits of the significant modernization efforts carried out by the DPRK’s military structure, based on nuclear deterrence.

The national defense industry, prioritized since the founding of the Party and continuously developed through the establishment of an independent foundation, presents to our people the resounding achievements it has once again achieved in less than a year, Kim noted, adding that this is the highest praise for the WPK’s 80-year historic history.

Also participating in the inauguration were members of the Party’s central leadership, government, and armed forces institutions, senior officers of the KPA’s military and political organs, officials, workers, distinguished scientists and technicians from the arms industry sector, officials of ministries and central agencies, and employees and students of military education institutions.
