Analysts highlight Ankara’s firm stance on the need for a permanent cessation of hostilities and point out that this position strengthens Türkiye’s role as a mediator in the conflict.

The day before, US President Donald Trump announced that both Israel and the Palestinian movement Hamas had accepted the first phase of his plan to cease hostilities in Gaza, an enclave devastated by Israeli aggression and plunged into an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
