This weekend, Servel will publish the list of the 203,646 polling station members, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the process, conducting the vote count, and ensuring transparency.
While until now the names of those designated were known through certified letters and print media, this time the entity will publish the list on its website, and interested parties will be able to consult it directly on the website.
As with voters, the participation of polling station members is mandatory unless they provide a justification, such as being over 70 years of age, suffering from an illness, being outside the country, or being a caregiver for the elderly or people with disabilities.
In the November 16 elections, Chileans will elect the country’s next president, the 155 members of the Chamber of Deputies, and 23 of the 50 senators.
“I would like to emphasize that the entire electoral process is progressing as planned to ensure a peaceful, transparent, participatory, and secure election,” said Pamela Figueroa, president of the Servel Board of Directors.
