The newspaper noted that the latest fatalities occurred last night when two brothers, ages 20 and 16, were shot in the city of Ramla, in the center of this Levantine nation.

During the attack, which stemmed from an apparent family dispute, the father of the two teenagers was also seriously wounded.

According to official figures, 222 members of this community died from this cause in 2023, and another 221 the following year.

In February, the mayor of Lod, Yair Revivo, criticized the government for its lack of clear action to combat the violence and criminal gangs that plague the minority, which represents just over 21 percent of the total population.

“The State of Israel decided to implement US President Donald Trump’s plan, only improved: to reduce the Arab-Israeli population,” he ironically denounced on the social network X.

Revivo was alluding to Trump’s proposal to expel the Palestinian population from the Gaza Strip, which provoked harsh criticism in the Middle East and the rest of the world.
