As a result of the operation, three members of the extremist group were arrested and a significant cache of ammunition and heavy weaponry was seized, Osama Zein Al-Din, an Internal Security official in Hama, reported.
The dismantled cell was planning attacks against civilians, members of the Syrian Arab Army, and members of the security forces themselves.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of suicide belts, improvised explosive devices, rocket launchers, grenades, and various types of ammunition, as well as documents that demonstrate links to Daesh command structures in the center of the country.
The official assured that the Internal Security Forces remain committed to capturing all remaining members of the terrorist network, and emphasized that citizen cooperation has been essential to the success of these operations.
